Notes
Ted Winter was the nephew of Charlie and Ernest Mayo, both of whom were killed in World War 1, and the brother of Ernest Joseph Winter. The image on page 35 of 'The Mayo Connection' shows Winter prior to his service in Palestine. He married Jean (Bonnie) Goodwin in September 1937 at St. John's in Reid. He died in Canberra on 31 March 1984 and is buried in Gungahlin Cemetery.
