Notes
Brown was born in the Bulga Creek area in 1896 although when he enlisted in the AIF in 1942 he lowered his year of birth (and therefore his age) to 1900. He was still living in the ACT at the end of World War 1 but he did not enlist in the war. He later moved to Wirrinya near Forbes NSW and died there on 6 June 1974.
