Notes
Tom Brack served in New Guinea during 1943 and 1944 as a cipher clerk with the 5th Division Signals and then at Morotai in the Netherlands East Indies during 1945 where he was promoted to acting Staff Sergeant. He married Elizabeth Archer in 1945 in Melbourne and after the war he resumed his public service career, however he resigned in 1951 to become secretary of the ACT Employers' Association and the Canberra Chamber of Commerce. By 1968 Brack had been appointed as a Commissioner in the Commonwealth Conciliation and Arbitration Commission. He died on 7 June 1984 in Sydney.
