Notes
Lance Borman was born at Briar Farm (later the site of the Canberra Yacht Club) in 1913 close to the site where Lady Denman named 'Canberra' on 12 March 1913. He lived at Oaks Estate as a boy and later at Ainslie after he married Clara Johnson in 1936. Borman died in Canberra on 11 October 1982 and is buried in the ex-services section of Gungahlin Cemetery.
