Notes
Blundell was an assistant clerk and messenger in the Prime Minister's Department when he enlisted in the RAAF in 1943 as a cook's assistant. After training at the Central Flying School he was promoted to Leading Aircraftman in June 1944 and served at Morotai with 24 Squadron from June to October 1945. Blundell worked as a bus conductor after the war and became blind later in life. He died on 21 January 1976 and was buried in Woden Cemetery.
