Notes
Blewitt was a shearing shed hand when he was called up for service with the militia on 2 December 1943. He enlisted in the AIF on 29 January 1944 but was AWL from June until December 1944 and served three months in custody. Blewitt was sent to Rabaul in January 1946 as a reinforcement for the 55/53rd Battalion and transferred to the 26th Battalion in April 1946. He returned to Australia in June 1946 and was marched out to the Royal Military College, Duntroon before being discharged on 26 November 1946.
