Biziak was a national serviceman who served in Vietnam between 22 October 1968 and 15 October 1969. He married Helen O'Neill at St. Christopher's in Manuka on 27 September 1968. The AWM image describes Biziak as a clerk with the 1st Topographical Survey Unit at Nui Dat and shows him checking the stock of a new issue of maps.
