Notes
Benson was born Leon Kulkiewisz in Germany but was of Polish descent. He arrived in Australia in February 1950 with his family but after joining the RAAF he was eventually posted to RAAF Base Fairbairn and lived in Queanbeyan. He served in Vietnam with No.9 Squadron from 21 May 1969 to 4 June 1970.
