Wendy Bazley was the daughter of Arthur Bazley, assistant to war historian Charles Bean and Acting Director of the Australian War Memorial during World War 2, and sister of Peter Bazley. She served with the Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force (WAAAF) during the war and was stationed in Melbourne.
