Notes
The World War 2 nominal roll says that Anderson was born in Canberra though he originally came from Kiama in the Illawarra district. A veteran of World War 1, Anderson entered a ballot for a soldier settler's block in Canberra in 1925 but failed to win a lease so he bought a lease in the Weston Creek area which he called Allawah. He formed the Rural Lessees Association in an attempt to improve conditions for local farmers but sold his lease in 1932.
Anderson later farmed at Pine Ridge in Belconnen and was living in Latham when he died on 16 March 1988.
